The Coaching Faculty
Created by CYC and facilitated by WDU, coaching is helping CYC colleagues to:
- Feel more Confident
- Introduce more problem solving within teams
- Take more control of their careers and development
- Prioritise and better manage their time
- Improve working relationship
- Be a bit braver!
Observational and non-judgmental, being coached helps you explore yourself including personal development, career goals, work/life balance or even issues. It enables you to find your own answers and solutions and define the steps needed to achieve this. For CYC Staff - visit the CYC intranet for further information.
Manager as Coach training
A one and a half day intensive course providing you with the skills to integrate effective coaching techniques into your management approach. This course will provide you with key skills to help you motivate and develop your team to improve performance. Following the first interactive workshop you will put learned techniques into practice over 4-6 weeks, and then re-convene to share your experience with other managers from the organisation.
Currently these coaching services are only for City of York Council workforce. However, if you are interested to know more and if we can develop this for you please do get in touch.
Have an idea for a conference but need a partner to get it going?
Working together, we can create and run exciting, successful and impactful events. Utilising our skills and access to our quality resources and skills, together with you we will develop a seedling idea into a fully grown concept.
With the idea in place we can arrange, administer and promote the entire conference. If sponsorship and exhibitors are required, we actively promote and support this whole process to ensure success. As well as taking bookings and handling enquiries, we can be there on the day to set up, register delegates and support the conference through-out. Post conference we arrange delegate evaluation and produce a final financial report.

Conference delegate and bookings service
We offer a personal and professional customer service for your conference bookings and delegate enquiries. The basic service package includes:
- Event listed on our online events list (other marketing options available)
- Bookings via our system
- Processing payments and producing financial reports
- Handling delegate enquiries by email, phone or other methods
- Regular reports and advice
- Delegate list and register supplied
- Event and venue evaluations
- Post event wrap up and obtain your feedback
Cost depends on delegate numbers and fee you charge, and any add-on options you may wish to have.
Each organisation and each workforce is different and therefore your organisation has its own unique requirements. We want to work with you to understand your specific needs and to build a creative and effective solution that fits perfectly with your organisation.
